Kitten feeding guide
SinceĀ kittens are actively growing and developing, they require more calories than adultĀ cats of the same weight. In general,Ā kittens need to eat what aĀ cat who is three to four times their weight eats.
Feed kittens three to four times a day, up until they are 6 months old. After 6 months, feeding two to three times a day is recommended, up until one year. After one year, two times a day is fine.
Kittens should be allowed to eat as much as they want up to 6 months. The below recommendations are guidelines to help you get started. The more meals throughout the day, the less they will gorge themselves on fewer meals and cause possible gastric distention.
