Meet the founders
Rebel Raw started in 2014 because we wanted something better for our own cats and dog.
Raw feeding made sense to us, but it was harder and more complicated than it needed to be. So we bought a meat grinder and started making food ourselves. The difference we saw in our own animals was incredible, and we wanted more cats and dogs to experience it.
We’ve grown, but the heart of Rebel Raw hasn’t changed. We still handwrite notes on packing slips, know our customers by name, and feed our own cats and dogs the same food we make for yours.
We’re still family-owned, hands-on, and dedicated to exceptional quality, thoughtful craftsmanship and taking great care of our customers and their cats and dogs.

My cat is picky. Will she even eat it?
Some cats dive right in, and some do better with a slow switch. Mix a little raw into her current food and add a bit more each day for a week or two. Cats who have eaten dry food for years can take longer, and that's normal. Our transition guide walks you through each step.

Is raw safe for cats?
Yes. Every batch of Rebel Raw is treated with bacteriophages, a natural and FDA-approved process that targets Salmonella, E. coli and Listeria but leaves the good bacteria and nutrition alone.
We don't use HPP or irradiation. Our kitchen follows human food facility standards, and we've never had a recall since we started in 2014.
At home, handle it like you would raw chicken for your own dinner: wash your hands, bowls and surfaces afterward.
What does it cost?
It depends on your cat's weight and which protein you choose. For Mystic Chicken, our most popular recipe for cats:
8 lb cat: about $2.07/day, $14.50/week (4.25 oz / day)
10 lb cat: about $2.44/day, $17.06/week (5 oz / day)
12 lb cat: about $2.68/day, $18.77/week (5.5 oz / day)
14 lb cat: about $3.02/day, $21.16/week (6.2 oz / day)
Will it fit in my freezer?
Yes, easily. A month of Mystic Chicken for a 10 lb cat is about 10 packs.
Each pack is a flat, vacuum-sealed brick about 7" x 6" x 1", so a month's supply stacks to about 10" tall, or takes up roughly the space of a shoebox.
What about kittens and seniors?
Raw food is especially important for kittens and seniors. Kittens can start as soon as they're weaned, and many take to it quickly.
Growing kittens need more food for their size than adult cats and do best on three to four meals a day until about 6 months old.
Our kitten feeding guide has the amounts by age and weight. Senior cats do great on raw too. Older cats often move less, so start with the amount for their weight in our cat feeding guide and adjust to keep them at a healthy weight.
Can I warm it?
Sure! The easiest way is to take the portion out of the fridge 20 minutes before mealtime so it can come to room temperature.
For picky cats who like their food a little warmer, stir in a splash of warm water or bone broth right before serving.
Do you offer subscriptions or recurring orders?
Yes. When you check out, choose Subscribe and pick how often you want deliveries, and your food will show up automatically. You can change the frequency, add products, pause, skip or cancel anytime from your account.
Subscriptions are optional, and you can always place one-time orders instead.
