Meet the founders
Rebel Raw started in 2014 because we wanted something better for our own cats and dog.
Raw feeding made sense to us, but it was harder and more complicated than it needed to be. So we bought a meat grinder and started making food ourselves. The difference we saw in our own animals was incredible, and we wanted more cats and dogs to experience it.
We’ve grown, but the heart of Rebel Raw hasn’t changed. We still handwrite notes on packing slips, know our customers by name, and feed our own cats and dogs the same food we make for yours.
We’re still family-owned, hands-on, and dedicated to exceptional quality, thoughtful craftsmanship and taking great care of our customers and their cats and dogs.

How do I transition my dog?
Go slowly. Start by replacing about 25% of your dog's current food with Rebel Raw, or 10% if they're coming off kibble.
As long as their stools stay firm, increase the raw portion a little at a time. Serve meals at room temperature, because food that's too cold can upset some tummies. Soft stools are normal while your dog adjusts.

Is raw food safe?
Yes. Every batch of Rebel Raw is treated with bacteriophages, a natural and FDA-approved process that targets Salmonella, E. coli and Listeria but leaves the good bacteria and nutrition alone.
We don't use HPP or irradiation. Our kitchen follows human food facility standards, and we've never had a recall since we started in 2014.
At home, handle it like you would raw chicken for your own dinner: wash your hands, bowls and surfaces afterward.

Will it fit in my freezer?
Yes. Each 16 oz pack is a flat, vacuum-sealed brick about 7" x 6" x 1", so the packs stack neatly like books. For a 40 lb dog, a week's worth (about 10 packs) takes up roughly the amount of space of a shoebox.
My vet is not sure about raw.
Many vets get limited nutrition training in school, and some have seen homemade raw diets done badly. So a little caution is understandable. We built Rebel Raw to answer their questions before they ask.
Every recipe is scientifically formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles, and we publish the complete nutritional breakdown for each one. Nothing hidden, nothing guessed. Every batch is also treated with bacteriophages, natural helpers that target Salmonella, E. coli and Listeria.

Can puppies eat it?
Yes. Every Rebel Raw dog recipe is complete and balanced for all life stages, including growth of large-breed puppies (70 lb or more as adults).
Growing puppies eat a lot more for their size than adult dogs, and they do best on three meals a day until about 6 months old. Our puppy feeding guide shows exactly how much to feed at each age.
Do you offer subscriptions or recurring orders?
Yes. When you check out, choose Subscribe and pick how often you want deliveries, and your food will show up automatically. You can change the frequency, add products, pause, skip or cancel anytime from your account.
